I tried Apothic Red, a proprietary red blend originating from California. I am not a big fan of red wines, so I decided to branch out and try a red wine. Apothic Red is a bold and intriguing red blend featuring a mix of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, syrah, and zinfandel wine grapes. There are notes of black cherry, vanilla, and mocha. It is a smooth and rich red blend that is medium-bodied and pairs well with lamb and beef.
It has a 4.7 rating on Drizly, and many have praised how it has a subtle sweetness and is full-bodied. When I tried this, I didn't pair it with any food. However, it was good; it was not too sweet or too dry; it was a perfect balance. I would rate this a 4 out of 5.
